How the number is built

My Real Citations resolves the book in Crossref, discovers separately deposited book chapters, maps those DOI records into OpenAlex, then retrieves works that cite any target. Optional Semantic Scholar and Google Scholar layers add records and counts. Citing works are deduplicated by DOI first, then source IDs, then normalized bibliographic metadata.
